Healthcare?????
As I sit and listen to all the rhetoric, I cannot help but wonder "what is in it for Obama?" I mean, after all, why would he commit political suicide for no apparent reason? Surely a mere "legacy" isn't enough of a motivation to make yourself look like an out-of-touch-with-the-masses idiot.. There has to be "SOMETHING" else going on. Like the "ostrich" Al Gore, apparently standing with his head shoved into the sand, while the "Religion of Global Warming" loses more and more members each day, and their sacred scrolls are written on used toilet paper, he continues to orate that global warming will be the destruction of our plant, as he continues to be HEAVILY invested in "carbon offsets", and electric car production. Oh there is SOMETHING in it for old Al... So, what is in it for Obama? If he is sincerely concerned with healthcare reform, WHY (and I seriously mean WHY), isn't Lawsuit reform on the table? I don't mean putting a cap on malpractice lawsuits. If a doctor is guilty of malpractice, he should PAY for the mutilation, or death of a person. What I advocate, is simply a "Loser-pays" approach. If in a medical lawsuit, it is REQUIRED that the losing party pay ALL lawyers fees, court cost, and income lost from the winner, then "Frivolous" lawsuits would immediately cease, and malpractice insurance would become virtually nothing... I just wish SOMEONE would address this issue... Simple and easy. And you can take credit for it...

Bob, losing parties frequently DO pay costs/attorneys' fees in lawsuits, including malpractice lawsuits.
ReplyDeleteYou're a pretty good example of someone spouting off about things without knowing any facts. Of course your solution is "simple and easy"--it already exists.
